Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is not going to star in the sequel of ‘Namastey London’. The sequel is renamed as ‘Namastey England’. It was believed that she was the perfect choice for a sequel but it seems like the makers have some other thought. The filmmakers have currently roped in one of the Dabangg actresses of Bollywood to play the female lead.
Akshay and Katrina starrer flick ‘Namastey London’ has been one of the top-grossing films of the year 2007. From last few years, rumours of the sequel started spurring around the Tinsel Town. Finally, the sequel news was confirmed by the Director Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who also directed the first part.
Well, If Katrina is not there, then who is the leading beauty to star in? It’s none other than Sonakshi Sinha, who is going to fill the void of Katrina Kaif in the movie. Sonakshi will lead the cast of ‘Namastey England’ along with action star Akshay Kumar. She took to twitter to officially confirm the news.
The two of them already wooed us in films like Rowdy Rathore, Holiday, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara, and Joker. So, this will be their sixth film starring together. Their Jodi is already loved by the audience and it seems like they will again bring the magic on the Silver screen.
‘Namastey London’ was a film with an essence of Patriotism. Even it gives us some feel of Manoj Kumar starrer ‘Purab Aur Paschim’. It was a message giving a film which also involved a romantic drama element in it. Overall, the film was critically acclaimed and songs were also very impressive.
Now, this time, Sonakshi is there to raise the bar for the movie. The audience has great expectations from the upcoming movie. So, we just wish them the very best for ‘Namastey England’.
