COFIREMED!! Sushant Singh Rajput To Star In Indian Adaptation of The Fault In Our Stars
Indian adaption of The Fault In Our Stars has been in the news for quite some time. There were lots of rumors surrounding the lead roles of the movie. Earlier, it was reported that producer Karan Johar had bought the rights to the Hollywood film and will cast Shahid Kapoor’s brother to play the lead. Finally, it has been confirmed that Sushant Singh Rajput has given his nod to play the lead in the official remake of The Fault In Our Stars.
According to reports, the movie will be produced by Fox Star Studios, whereas casting director Mukesh Chhabra will be directing the film. The movie will go on floors sometime next year. Confirming the news, Mukesh said to a leading daily, “Yes, I am on board for The Fault in Our Stars remake. I’m working on the script at the moment. Sushant is the leading man and we are still in the process of casting the heroine.”
The report also suggests that Mukesh Chabbar was the person who introduced Sushant Singh Rajput to Abhishek Kapoor for the film Kai Po Che. He always wanted to work with him. He also thinks that the actor is perfect for the role. The female lead has not been confirmed yet. The director is currently looking for his leading lady and will finalize soon. The movie will be adopted in such a way to cater Indian audience.
The Fault In Our Stars is a 2014 Hollywood romantic drama film directed by Josh Boone. The movie is based on John Green novel of the same name. The movie featured Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort in the lead roles. The movie received mostly positive reviews from the film critics. The movie was a big financial success.
