They say it's frivolous, there's much singing and dancing, there's no realism, etc. But what they don't understand that Bollywood is actually a treasure trove of useful and not-so-useful life lessons that would really stand you in a good stead, if only you look beyond the obvious. Here are just a few of the obvious ones. 1. Sholay "If you're a good guy at heart, you'll eventually win." It doesn't matter if Basanti chooses to dance in front of the "dogs' or not. 2. Kaho Na Pyar Hai "Don’t get disheartened if you don't end up with the love of your life. God will give you many more chances." Who knows? You might just run into the Xerox Copy of your old flame! 3. And that pointing a loaded weapon at your crush moves things forward. Wait, what? 12. Queen "Believe in yourself." And sometimes, it's better to be single 13.
