Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar Starrer 2.0 released this Thursday amidst lots of expectations. The movie has taken the box office by storm. With Rs. 64 Crore, the movie did solid business on Day one across all languages but failed to break the records created by S. S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion.
However, the best part about this sci-fi thriller is that the Hindi version is doing excellent business across all the circuits. Hindi Version of 2.0 raked up Rs. 20 Crore on Thursday, which is astonishing if we look at the fact that it is a dubbed film. Superstar Rajinikanth doesn’t have as much grip in the Hindi market as he has in South.
2.0 continued its golden run at the box office by earning Rs. 45 Crore on Day 2 taking its two day total to more than Rs. 100 Crore across all the languages. The movie shows a strong hold over the weekend and it’s on course of becoming one of the biggest blockbusters after Baahubali: The Conclusion.
Now, 2.0 box office collection Day 3 is out and it’s astonishing. The movie earned Rs. 56.5 Crore on Saturday taking its three day total to more than Rs. 165 Crore. If we look at the trends, the movie is going to surpass Rs. 200 Crore on Sunday. If the movie stays strong on the weekdays, it may even break Baahubali 2’s record.
