Fans demand ban on Ajay Devgn’s ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ on OTT platform!

Given to the current scenario when movie production has come to a halt and theatres are being shut, many films are now releasing on digital platforms. After Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana’s film ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ release on Amazon Prime today, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ has also joined the row of other movies that will be released on a digital platform.

Due to coronavirus pandemic the whole country has been lockdown and no new release is hitting big screens. Due to the shutting down of theatres, many filmmakers are opting to release their films on digital platforms. Karan Johar’s production venture ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ starring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead and Vidhya Balan starrer ‘Shakuntala Devi- Human Computer’ are also geared up to release on OTT platforms.

Ajay Devgn’s fans, however, are not pleased with his next release of ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ on any OTT platform, and hence, they are trending ‘Boycott Bhuj on OTT’ on micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Ajay Devgn is one of the popular personalities of Bollywood and his huge fan base doesn’t want his big project to be released on any OTT platform but a big screen. His fans feel Ajay’s ‘Bhuj’ deserves a big screen release and it will lose its thrill if it is released on digital platform.

The fans of this Singham star even wants his movie to be tax-free and demanded to postpone its release on OTT. One Twitterati posted on the micro-blogging site, “Mega Star Only  Deserves 70MM Mega Screen, not A 6 inch tiny screen.. @ajaydevgn Sir BOYCOTT BHUJ ON OTT.” Another tweet read, “The Inspiring Ind-Pak story should not be displayed to limited audience on OTT. It should release on Theatres & made Tax Free all over India. Please Please Ajay sir do it for everyone! BOYCOTT BHUJ ON OTT.”
