Did you know that despite having one of the best onscreen rants we have seen in recent times, this movie failed to score big in the box office 9) Swades It is hard to believe that Ashutosh Gowariker Swades wasn't performing well, since SRK is in the lead. It however, manage to strike a chord with the public overtime and gained popularity. 11) Sholay The biggest Bollywood hit Sholay is real flop when released, although it was not nominated for 'Film fare Award'. From such abysmal openings, Sholay became India’s first movie to enjoy a silver jubilee (25 week) run at the theaters. 12) Mera Naam Joker Raj Kpoor took 6 years by itself in making Mera naam Joker, but it couldn't impress the box office. Later, it impresses the critic and audience as well.
