Mohit Raina in Sikh Avatar In His Upcoming TV Show!

Mohit Raina will be seen in new Sikh avatar playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh.

Handsome hunk Mohit Raina was raised in Jammu, started his career in modeling. Gradually he moved on Television. He started his journey in 2006 when he acted in a science fiction TV show called Antariksh. In 2008, he starred as JaiKishan in the comedy film Don Muthu Swami, which didn’t turn successful at the box office. In the year 2009, he appeared in the Chera TV series, a suspense drama revolving around a handicapped girl. Raina played her husband Garv, a young business tycoon. He was also a part of the serial Bandini. In December 2010, Raina played the male lead in the show Ganga Kii Dheej. Next year, he cast the lead in Nikhil Sinha’s Devon Ke Dev Maha Dev from where he had gained a lot of fame. The show majorly focused on the God Shiva and portrayed his journey from a hermit to a householder through his marriage to Sati and later Parvati. After this, we noticed that Mohit focused on improving his physic for Ashoka serial where he played emperor Ashoka, in the historical serial Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat.

Mohit Raina will be seen as Sikh in his upcoming TV show Battle of Saragarhi where he is playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh. The story portrays 21 soldiers of the 36 Sikh Regiment that fought an army of over 10,000 Afghans and killed more than 600 of them before sacrificing their lives. The troop was led by Havildar Ishar Singh. The Battle of Saragarhi is considered to be one of the most fierce last-stands in history. During an interview when Mohit was questioned about his character he said “It is very exciting to be in a period drama like 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897. Period dramas have their own challenges. One must work hard to ensure that you don’t just embrace the character you are playing, you also have to understand the smaller nuances of the period to deliver an authentic experience.”
