With a movie based on true events, Akshay Kumar will make another appearance as a Sikh character on the big screen

In the movie Capsule Gill, which highlights the valiant act of the mining engineer who saved many lives during a catastrophe, he will play Jaswant Singh Gill. On the sets of the Tinu Suresh Desai film, an image of the actor wearing a Punjabi sardaar costume recently went viral on social media.

The actor is seen posing in the field in the aforementioned photograph, which is reported to have been taken in a Yorkshire field. The film’s crew is currently filming in the United Kingdom. The entire film is set to be shot in the United Kingdom, and it also stars Parineeti Chopra.

The movie is based on the true story of the Raniganj Coalfields incident, in which 64 miners got trapped in the coal mines in West Bengal. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment. In 1989, coal mine disaster, Jaswant Singh put his own life in danger to save theirs. The movie provides an in-depth portrayal of the incident.

Following the release of Samrat Prithviraj last month, Akshay Kumar is currently preparing for the release of Raksha Bandhan, which will be released on August 11 alongside Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. Along with Capsule Gill, he will also be featured in the Soorarai Pottru remake and the mythological fantasy drama Ram Setu
with Jacqueline Fernandez. He is also working on Mission Cinderella, Ikka, and a Bade Miyan Chote Miyan remake with Tiger Shroff.
