Taylor Swift to make feature movie directorial debut

Taylor Swift left everyone impressed after leading the All Too Well short movie set to her 10-minute song by the same title from her album, Red (Taylor’s Version).

Taylor Swift will be making her star directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures.

The musician, composer and director has written an original screenplay, which will be produced by a studio that has yet to back Oscar-winning works such as Nomadland and The Shape of Water.

Details about the plot and casting of the movie still need to be discovered.

Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield talked to Variety about uniting with Taylor and said, “Taylor is a once-in-a-generation singer and storyteller. It is a genuine pleasure and honour to unite with her as she ventures on this exhilarating new creative journey.”

It will be fascinating to see if Swift works with her actor boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, or BFF Blake Lively, for the project.

All Too Well sensation

Taylor’s conquest as a singer is already unmatched. Swift recently became the only solo artist honoured with two best direction prizes at the MTV VMAs for her short movie All Too Well and The Man.

Swift is an 11-time Grammy winner and the only female artist to win album of the year on three different events.
