Uri box office collection skyrockets in Weekend 2 after PM Modi’s How’s The Josh viral video

Vicky Kaushal’s Uri The Surgical Strike is just doing well – it is doing great – in its second week at the box office. The film has managed to collect Rs 37.96 crore in its second weekend at the box office, which is more than what it collected in its first weekend of release: Rs 35.73 crore.

The box office collection of Uri The Surgical Strike saw a commendable rise in its second week at the theatres. The film, despite competition from new releases like Emraan Hashmi’s Why Cheat India and Arshad Warsi’s Fraud Saiyyan, has been seeing unbelievably great footfall in theatres.

The film has also managed to cross the 100-crore mark in just 10 days of its release. As of its tenth day, Uri has earned a total of Rs 108.9 crore at the box office.

Apart from Vicky Kaushal and his hard-hitting performance, there is probably another person who has a big hand in the success of the film – Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The film took off in the second weekend of its release after Narendra Modi’s “How’s the josh?” video from the inauguration of the National Museum of Indian Cinema went viral.

In the video, the Prime Minister is seen asking the audience, mostly Bollywood stars, the tagline of Uri, “How’s the josh?” The audience’s response to Modi: “High, Sir.”

Uri stars Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam shared the viral video featuring PM Modi on their own social media accounts.
