From Sridevi to Tamanna to Tapsee Pannu, everyone has done well in the South and also gained immense popularity in the B-town. Now one more new face is going to make her Bollywood debut in the industry and she is Shraddha Srinath. Since many years we have been hearing the name of the movie ‘Milan Talkies’. Five years ago this movie was about to go on floors with Shahid Kapoor as the main lead but due to reasons unknown, the movie was shelved. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the movie is all set to release on 18th January 2019. The movie has Ali Fazal in the male lead role.
It’s a love story set on the backdrop of old world charm of single-screen cinemas. The first schedule of the film was shot in Lucknow followed by Mathura. This film is very close to Tigmanshu’s heart.
Tigmanshu Dhulia said, “I have been working on the film for a long time and hence it is extremely close to my heart. It portrays a fresh love story and I am eager to show it to the audience.”
On talking about the movie Shraddha said, “A film in Bollywood was truly unexpected. South is almost like one industry and other industries tend to watch our films and if they feel we fit the role, they cast you. But Bollywood is another league.”
Shraddha is a popular face in the South and in 2016 her movie ‘U-Turn’ got her the Filmfare Award (South) for Best Actress. She also gave stellar performances in movies like ‘Urvi’ and ‘Vikram Vedha’.
The romantic love saga – Milan Talkies’s story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Kamal Pandey. The film also stars Reecha Sinha, Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Mishra, Sikander Kher and Pankaj Tripathi.
