Navjot Singh Sidhu Fired From The Kapil Sharma Show After His Comments On Pulwama Attack Created Huge Outrage

After a one-year hiatus, comedian Kapil Sharma made his comeback on TV with a revamped version of his popular comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show. Punjab Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has been an integral part of the show since ages. However, that is going t to change pretty soon.

According to the report of a leading daily Indian Express, Navjot Singh Sidhu has been asked to leave the show after his statement on Pulwama Terror attack created a massive controversy on social media. He will be replaced by Archana Puran Singh, who also shares a good camaraderie with Kapil Sharma since Comedy Circus days.

In the same report, a source was quoted saying, “His remarks have not been taken kindly by most. Also, the channel and the show was getting dragged into the unwanted controversy. This is when the team amicably decided that Navjot make a distance from the show. The team has already shot a couple of episodes with Archana,”

Earlier, while reacting to the disastrous Pulwama terror attack, Sidhu said, “Nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists. The terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion). There are good, the bad and the ugly. Every institution has them. Every nation has them. The ugly need to be punished. But individuals cannot be blamed for the dastardly act.”

This comment of former cricketer has not gone down well with people, as they soon started thrashing him with strong words. People soon demanded the sacking of Sidhu from The Kapil Sharma Show otherwise they’ll boycott the show.
