Key takeaways:
- Shark Tank’s Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh remember weird places they got ideas: ‘Inside washrooms, chasing vehicles.’
Anupam Mittal, Shark Tank India judge and Shaadi.com CEO, has revealed the most mysterious place where a person approaches their business plans to him.
In a chat, Anupam remembered how a person was trying to express their idea by driving next to him in a vehicle. He also admitted that he had been pitched several times inside the elevator.
Sharks express how they got approached for business ideas:
Sugar CEO Vineeta Singh and Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal also spoke about people stopping them inside restrooms to convey their business plans. Peyush said he was in a car when a person waved from their vehicle, and he waved back.
However, after reaching his house, he saw the person there. They got out of the vehicle and expressed their idea outside Peyush’s home.

Speaking with Film Companion, Anupam Mittal said, “I think the elevator approach has honestly become literal. I have not taken an elevator ride. I don’t know in how long without somebody explaining.”
When Vineeta interrupted that somebody was chasing his vehicle for ‘car to car pitching’, Anupam shook his head.
When questioned about it, Anupam remembered what the person told him. He said, “It’s fantastic. ‘Sir ek baat karni hai, aap sun lijiye, sir ek baat karni hai (Sir, I want to speak to you, listen to me)’.” Vineeta continued that the person was ‘driving next to him and trying to stop him’.
