Sad News! Shikhar Dhawan Ruled Out Of World Cup 2019, Here Is Why


The ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 has seen several moments to keep the fans all across the globe glued to the TV screen. India has started its campaign with a bang winning its first two matches against South Africa and Australia. With two power-packed performances, Indian team is looking as a team to beat. India will next play New Zealand tomorrow.

However, there is sad news for all the cricket lovers in India. If you have watched India Vs Australia match, you know that Shikhar Dhawan sustained a blow on his left thumb early in his innings. However, after some treatment from Indian physiotherapist Patrick Farhart, he kept playing and scored a magnificent 117 runs.  Indian opener was awarded man of the match for his magnificent batting performance.

Now, it is being reported that Dhawan sustained an injury that would leave him out of most of the World Cup matches for India. Dhawan underwent x-ray for his thumb, which shows a fractured thumb. According to the reports, Dhawan was told to rest for three weeks and has been kept under observation.  No replacement for Dhawan has been announced as of now.  In the absence of Dhawan, KL Rahul is set to open with Rohit Sharma.
