Rohit Shetty and Ranvir Singh all set to leave us all rolling on the floor laughing with their upcoming flick
The greatest collaboration of all times starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan under the maestro Rohit Shetty, Simmba went on to become massive blockbuster with a whooping 240.22 crores business. It’s now time for history to repeat itself, atleast that’s what we expect as the actor – director duo all ready to set their chemistry on fire once again.
If the reports are to believed, Rohit Shetty has been trying to break his Cop and Golmaal monotony and build a script that’s completely new and compelling. He has been working on it during the lockdown and has approached Ranveer Singh for his new script. The actor too apparently has given a heads up to the project.
A source was quoted saying, “Rohit has been looking to step outside the Golmaal franchise and his cop universe, and the lockdown gave him the time to work on an out and out comic script. When he narrated the basic idea to Ranveer, the actor was equally excited as he hasn’t done a comedy film Rohit Shetty e-style before and agreed to come on board.”
However, there is also a sad reality for Golmaal fans. As per the reports, Rohit had planned to start shooting for Golmaal 5 immediately after Sooryavanshi. But because Ajay Devgn has been pushing all work amidst the pandemic, he isn’t really free for the next 6 months.
“But Ajay Devgn’s dates are full for next one year owing to the six-month closure, which has pushed Golmaal 5 also by a year. He was supposed to start Golmaal 5 around October this year for a Diwali 2021 release, but the film will now start only in the last quarter of 2021” the source further added in context to Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal.
We are super excited to see what’s in store for us in Rohit Shetty’s brand new script. All the more the excitement has further increased due to the duo coming back.
