Makers promise that Prabhas Salaar will be the next big thing

Key Takeaways:

  • The KGF franchise, which stars Yash, and Kantara, which stars Rishab Shetty, are two Hombale Films productions that stand out on the Indian film scene.
  • KGF Chapter 1’s release in 2018 opened up a new market for southern films, particularly those from Karnataka.

Two Hombale Films productions stand out on the Indian film scene are the KGF franchise starring Yash and Kantara, which stars Rishab Shetty.

Salaar, starring Prabhas, is expected to be bigger than any other movie produced, despite the production company having a massive year ahead with four movies scheduled for release in 2019.

Bollywood Hungama quoted the founders of Hombale Films, Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, saying, “The shooting for Salaar will be finished by January.”

Almost 80% of the shooting has been completed. Only the climax is left, and we will finish it in January. It will be more expansive than any previous films we have produced.

The production company intends to release Dhoomam from Fahadh Faasil the following year in addition to Salaar, which is slated for release in September 2023 with Prabhas.

Also scheduled for release before 2023 is Bagheera, starring Srimurali. The following movie, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, is called Tyson, and production is set to begin in 2024. 14 films are scheduled to be released over the next two years, a sizable lineup.

With the release of KGF Chapter 1 in 2018, a new market was made available for films from the south, particularly those from Karnataka.

The state had previously produced highly regarded movies from filmmakers like Girish Kasaravalli. Still, KGF brought Kannada cinema back to the attention of a new generation of moviegoers and experienced widespread commercial success.

Kantara, which debuted in September of this year, strengthened Kannada cinema’s hold on all of India.

Although these stories appear to be runaway successes, a closer examination reveals that their rootedness, a philosophy upheld by Hombale Films, the company that produced both of these films, is the real reason behind their success.

On his birthday just a short while ago, Prithviraj debuted his new Salaar character.

In the movie, he will play Vardharaja, a role that will complement Prabhas’ and produce a compelling drama that audiences will adore.
