Key takeaways:

  • Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s 2001 romantic film Kushi will be re-released in the cinema in 4K.
  • Here’s the release date for the film, which also featured Bhumika Chawla.

Re-releasing famous film actors has become a common trend nowadays. From Mahesh Babu starrer Pokiri to Rajinikanth’s Baba, many films have been made available to movie fans again in recent history.

After Pawan Kalyan starrer Jalsa, another film of the Power Star will be re-released soon.

His 2001 romantic film Kushi will be out in 4K once again. The movie will be available in theatre halls from New Year’s eve, i.e. 31st December this year.

For the unversed, Kushi was a recreation of the thriving Tamil movie of the same title by director SJ Suryah, with Vijay and Jyotika as the lead pair.

Later, the film was recreated again in Hindi, featuring Fardeen Khan and Kareena Kapoor. While the Tamil and Telugu versions hung out to be commercial hits, the Hindi version tanked at the box office.

Produced by A.M. Ratnam, Mani Ratnam scored the song for Kushi. While P. C. Sreeram cranked the camera for the movie, B. Lenin, V. T. Vijayan, and Kola Bhaskar were liable for the movie’s editing.
