
A major breakthrough in Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, key accused, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar has been detained in California under the US anti-terror law, according to some TV reports Brar, a native of Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, is believed to have entered Canada on a student visa in 2017 after which he joined the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Punjabi singer-politician Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was shot dead while he was traveling in his car in Mansa district of Punjab in May this year. Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar had taken the responsibility for the murder on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. Brar was also a key conspirator in the Dera Sacha Sauda follower murder incident which took place last month.
According to a Punjab police spokesperson, a proposal was sent to the CBI for issuing a Red Corner Notice against Brar paving the path for his extradition to India, on May 19, 2022, barely 10 days before the murder of Moose Wala .Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, a Canada-based gangster, took responsibility for the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Brar took responsibility for the killing on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang based in India. An Interpol red notice was issued against Brar, who is from Punjab’s Mukhtsar, as he is wanted for murder, criminal conspiracy, supply of illegal firearms, and attempt to murder. A red corner notice, which allows the arrest and detention of a fugitive abroad, has been issued against Brar.

Meanwhile, Moose Wala’s father Balkaur Singh, who on Thursday demanded that the Union government announced a reward of Rs 2 crore for any information on the Canada- based gangster, said on Friday he did not believe that the news of Brar’s arrest was true. “Let the authorities come out with some evidence and if the arrest has really happened, it is a biggest relief to me,” he said.
