MNS leader Ameya Khopkar tweeted that the decision to halt the release of The Legend of Maula Jatt was a result of the party’s efforts shortly after the movie’s listings were taken down from movie theatres.

On Sunday, director Bilal Lashari announced that his movie had earned $10 million globally and 100 crores in Pakistan.

He tweeted, “Perfect timing as #thelegendofmaulajatt passes 100 Cr. tonight at the Box Office in Pakistan and $10 million worldwide,” expressing his excitement over the development.

Once more, a heartfelt thank you to the members of team MJ and all of the #TLOMJ supporters who helped make this movie a smashing hit. A very happy new year to everyone!

On October 13, The Legend of Maula Jatt was released in Pakistan, where it quickly rose to the top of the box office.
