Jolly LLB 2 : Day 5 Box Office Collection!

Considering the pace in which Jolly LLB 2’s box-office collection has been on a high since the film’s release on February 10, one can easily argue, right now, that Jolly LLB 2 might end up being a bigger hit than both Raees and Kaabil. After grossing over Rs 50 crore in just three days, the collections of Jolly LLB 2 did dip on Monday, since it is a working day, but nevertheless, it is a decent enough figure keeping Monday box-office collections in mind. Earlier, Jolly LLB 2 — which replaced Arshad Warsi with Akshay kumar in the titular role — crossed the lifetime collection of the first installment in mere three days. The lifetime collection of Jolly LLB, starring Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani, was Rs 32 crore, whereas Jolly LLB 2 has collected Rs 30.52 crore in just two days Jolly LLB 2 will cross the Rs 100-crore mark this very week itself. Once this film earns Rs 100 crore, it will be Akshay Kumar’s 4th Rs 100-crore film in a row.

Here is the complete day by day box-office collection of Jolly LLB 2:

Day 1 (10th Feb, Friday) – Rs 13.20 crore
Day 2 (11th Feb, Saturday) – Rs 17.31 crore
Day 3 (12th Feb, Sunday) – Rs 19.95 crore
Day 4 (13th Feb, Monday) – Rs 7.26 crore

Total four-day box-office collection of Jolly LLB 2: Rs 57.72 crore

Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 2 is the sequel to Jolly LLB, which released in 2013. That film, also directed by Subhash Kapoor, starred Arshad Warsi as a bumbling, small-time lawyer who was up in arms, engaged in a high-profile case, against a big, corrupt lawyer played by Boman Irani. Jolly LLB 2 has been made on the same template. It’s a new story but the facade is the same; small lawyer vs big lawyer inside the courtroom with the issue being a high profile case involving corruption. Arshad and Boman’s characters have been replaced by Akshay Kumar and Annu Kapoor.

Actor Saurabh Shukla who won a National Award for his performance in the first film reprises his role of Justice Sunderlal Tripathi in Jolly LLB 2. The film also stars Annu Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Manav Kaul, Inaamulhaq, Kumud Mishra and Sayani Gupta.
